For the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Student Chapter of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS) officers’ meeting on January 25, 2005 in the School of Management Building at 11:00 a.m. E.S.T.

 Officers Present:

• Speaker series:

• The start of the new speaker series organized by the UMASS Amherst INFORMS Student Chapter with strong support from its faculty advisor Professor Anna Nagurney was discussed. During the Spring Semester 2005, 8 presentations will be given. More information about the speaker series can be found at http://supernet.som.umass.edu/informs/speakernew.html
   

• An activity plan for the Spring Semester 2005 was created. The activity plan will be posted on the webpage.
   
• Officers were assigned their jobs for the Spring Semester 2005.
   
• Information for the INFORMS Group Activity Report was collected.
