Our Student Chapter Faculty Advisor, Professor Anna Nagurney, received the 2007 Award for the Advancement of Women in OR/MS.
On Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at the Forum for Women in OR/MS 2007 Business Meeting at the INFORMS Annual Meeting in Seattle, our Student Chapter Faculty Advisor, Professor Anna Nagurney, received the 2007 Award for the Advancement of Women in OR/MS. She was thrilled to be surrounded by several colleagues and students (present and past) at the awards luncheon. It was very special to have Dr. Radhika Kulkarni, the R&D Director of the Operations Research Department of SAS Institute Inc., and the 2006 WORMS Award winner, present the plaque to Professor Nagurney. In her acceptance speech, Professor Nagurney thanked her colleagues and students and singled out the great influence of Professor Stella Dafermos.
