UMASS Amherst Student Chapter of INFORMS Received the INFORMS Student Chapter Annual Award Summa Cum Laude
The University of Massachusetts Amherst Student Chapter of INFORMS received the INFORMS Student Chapter Annual Award Summa Cum Laude. This is the highest distinction given to a student chapter and it recognizes the outstanding achievements of a chapter in 2006. A plaque representing the award was given out at the 2007 INFORMS Seattle meeting on November 6, 2007. Our faculty advisor, Professor Anna Nagurney and two former presidents of the chapter, Christian Wernz and Zugang "Leo" Liu, attended the award ceremony and received the plaque.
Thanks go out to all of our members, past and present, as well as to all of our former and present officers, for making our chapter meritorious of such an award. This is the first year that the award is being given by INFORMS!
